Jessica
Dental Assistant/RDA
Jessica has been a part of our team since 2020 and is a graduate of UT Arlington. She thoroughly enjoys the work that we do and feels that we work from the heart. She is detail-oriented and is always striving for the best outcome possible. She also makes sure that each patient feels comfortable and understands their treatment in-depth. She speaks Spanish to meet the needs of the members of our community. Jessica finds that the best thing about being a part of our practice is the people she gets to work with. Everyone gets along so well that it truly feels like family. For Jessica, the work she does is more than just a job. It’s a lifetime career and she cannot see herself doing anything else. This career is life-changing and fulfilling for her.
Jessica loves to travel and explore as much as she can and does so whenever possible. She loves to take her fur baby Leila with her everywhere she goes. She loves to salsa dance. She also loves the outdoors and likes hiking, swimming and going to the beach. She is currently teaching herself to speak French and German.
Melanie
Orthodontic Assistant
In 1989, Melanie joined our practice as our orthodontic assistant. Over the years, she has developed a fondness for our patients and team, and she loves to contribute to the success of the practice. She has been married for over 35 years and currently has two children and six fabulous grandkids. Melanie loves sporting events, listening to live music and hanging out at the lake. On the weekends, she attends countless soccer games for her grandkids, as well as their swim meets, dance classes and basketball games.
Sana
Orthodontic Assistant
After completing an associate of arts and associate of science from Tarrant County College and Everest College, Sana moved on to become a part of our team in 2019. As our orthodontic assistant and laboratory technician, Sana enjoys working with a respectful and caring doctor like Dr. Perkins. She appreciates being able to work in a fun and engaging environment where she can become closer to her team and our patients. Sana is currently engaged to her fiancé, and she is the youngest of seven children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and swimming, but most importantly, she likes spending quality time with her family. Sana also loves to learn about all the different types of cultures and traditions in her heritage.
Abril
Registered Dental Assistant
Abril is a female dental professional who joined the practice in August 2022 as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). She completed her internship hours at the office in July 2022 after graduating from Pure Dental Assisting Academy, where she received her Dental Assisting training. Abril loves being part of the practice because it feels like a second home, with a welcoming and friendly environment for both patients and staff. She enjoys meeting new patients and appreciates their unique personalities. As a new member of the Orthodontic field, Abril embraces challenges and takes pride in her ability to learn and adapt. She is bilingual, which helps many patients, and she keeps the team up to date on new trends, ensuring no one feels out of touch. Outside of work, Abril enjoys exploring new things with friends and family, and she has a passion for sports, particularly volleyball. She is also a proud parent to a sweet and adventurous 7-year-old.
Ashley
Dental Assistant
Ashley Acosta, a clinical assistant, joined the practice on April 18th, 2022. She completed her Dental Assisting Program at Concorde Career Colleges in Grand Prairie, TX, in 2017. Ashley loves everything about being part of Perkins Orthodontics, especially the culture and family-like atmosphere. The team works together seamlessly to provide a fun and efficient experience for their patients. Dr. Perkins’s guidance and motivation have helped Ashley find her place and be the best assistant she can be. Ashley is willing to go above and beyond for the happiness of the patients and the success of the practice. She takes pride in being involved in every aspect of her work and puts her heart and soul into her job. Ashley finds motivation in her four beautiful children and her supportive family, including her parents and siblings. Outside of work, Ashley’s focus is on her kids and family, making them her top priority.
Hailey
Financial Coordinator
Hailey joined the practice as the Financial Coordinator on January 3rd, 2023. She brings a positive attitude and kindness to the team every day, contributing to the practice’s success. Hailey has been in the dental field for around 10 years and is grateful to be part of a practice that prioritizes patient care and comfort. The supportive and fun environment at the practice makes her appreciate her role even more. Hailey’s middle child in her family of three grew up in Highland Village, TX, and moved to Fort Worth with her fiance three years ago. They share their home with three fur babies, including a husky mix, a German Shepherd, and a cattle dog/Australian Shepherd mix. Hailey also takes care of indoor and outdoor cats in her neighborhood. Outside of work, she runs a cake business from home and enjoys traveling, outdoor activities like hiking and camping, snowboarding, and riding dirtbikes. Hailey is also a scuba diving enthusiast, plays the piano, attends concerts, and loves engaging in various crafty hobbies.
